Call for Submissions: January 1-31

 

SJCPL Writes is accepting short fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and art submissions that follow the writing prompt.  Photography will not be accepted.  Content should be appropriate for all ages.  Adults and teens (ages 12+) may send 1-2 submissions with the following criteria: 

• Microsoft Word document or Google doc

• 12-point Arial font, single spaced, with line breaks between paragraphs 

• English or Spanish language

• 2,000 words maximum for prose

• 300 dpi maximum for digital art

Writing Prompt:

 

Write a story centered around beginning anew, rebirth, or transformation.  The change in your story might revolve around a person, a place, a thing, or even time itself.
